Find relief from symptoms of trauma by reconnecting with your body
Join me for a 10 week trauma sensitive yoga series where you will have the opportunity to reconnect with your body and begin to ease your symptoms. Next group starts Thursday, Feb 5th, 2026.
TCTSY is a gentle form of yoga that has been adapted specifically for trauma survivors. Unlike many public yoga classes, TCTSY does not use hands on adjustments, traditional or common “pose” names, or emphasize correct alignment of your body… aka you won’t be left wondering what pose you need to be in, or have to worry about doing it “right”.
The community support and group discussion aspects help you integrate the movement practice into your daily life, allowing you to recover and find relief from your symptoms.

Or feel free to text me at 352-234-8159
Here’s what people have to say:
“I had a great experience. Before the class I wasn’t consciously aware of how much I was ignoring my internal experience. The yoga increased my awareness of my internal world and taught me to be more gentle with myself. I would 100% recommend the course!“
-Jaime, TCTSY Participant
“This [group] isn’t just for those who have experienced trauma, it’s for everyone who wants to reconnect with their body in a safe, intentional, and compassionate way. The pace is slow, the environment is grounding, and every movement is an invitation, not an expectation. If you’ve been looking for a space to simply be, without pressure, without performance, this might be just what your nervous system has been craving. I can’t recommend it enough.
Come as you are. Leave feeling more whole.”
-Isabell, TCTSY Participant
“For the first time in a long time I was able to safely connect to my body and know that I’m in charge of my movements and pace. Mary provided a supportive and empowering experience that made me feel like I was able to start some healing.”
-Savannah, TCTSY Participant

- We begin with a brief check-in with the group, then move into a 35-45 min TCTSY (gentle movement) practice. To close, I’ll invite a short check out and/or group discussion.
- Group discussion is typically based on participants’ experience of their movement practice; maybe what they noticed in their bodies during practice, how they felt, or reflections on something they noticed between the last session and the present.
*Note: you will not be asked to talk about your trauma at any point in the process.

FAQ’s
Who is this group for?
The practice of TCTSY was intended for people who are struggling with the enduring effects of complex trauma and PTSD. However, you do not need any kind of diagnosis to participate in the group or to experience the healing effects of the practice. This group is meant for anyone who identifies as having experienced trauma in any form, extremely distressing experiences, or accumulate stress.
You may not identify with the word “trauma”, yet maybe you experience some of the common struggles of trauma survivors, this group is also for you.
This group is for individuals who have tried talk therapy, are currently receiving talk therapy, or feel they have adequate support in the event that the embodiment practice stirs up emotions.
If you are unsure whether the group would be a good fit for you, feel free to contact me!
What are the benefits of TCTSY?
TCTSY provides on opportunity for you to learn to reconnect with yourself and with your body. You might feel a new sense of empowerment as you learn to make choices and give yourself permission to move through the world as YOU. You might begin to feel more confident knowing your boundaries and being able to set them with others.
One of the core foundations of the practice is to provide opportunities for improving interoception (a neuroscience term meaning your perception of internal bodily sensations and states). With improved interoception you might notice
- Better emotion regulation
- Sense of emotional “balance”
- Decreased symptoms of depression, anxiety, or PTSD
- Increased self-awareness and sense of agency
- Improved intuition
- Increased sense of “effortless” presence
- Decreased dissociation
What if I’ve never done yoga before?
That’s great if you’ve never done yoga before! I’d be honored for this to be your first yoga experience. TCTSY is specifically designed for ALL bodies, all levels of fitness, and requires no prior yoga experience.
We do not use the traditional Sanskrit names for the yoga forms in order to make the practice accessible to a wide range of people from all different cultures.
This practice is all about how the forms feel in your body, rather than how it looks on the outside. There is no expectation or encouragement to make anything look “nice”, “aligned”, or “perfect” in any way. That’s what I love about it so much!
Where can I learn more?
TCTSY is a practice that allows you to begin to reconnect with your body, establish a trusting and safe enough relationship, and regain your own sense of agency. If interested, you can learn more about TCTSY here or on the organizations’s website.
